Chinese: The days of the week. Super duper easy!

Today I learned how to say the days of the week in Chinese^^
It is amazingly easy!😃
Seriously! you will learn it in no time!

So let's begin^^

It will be even easier for you if you can count from 1 to 6.
if you can't, here is how^^

How to count from 1 to 6:

0	零	Líng
1	一	Yī
2	二	Èr
3	三	Sān
4	四	Sì
5	五	Wǔ
6	六	Liù

Alright!

Now, we have 3 ways to say the days of the week.

And they are all super easy ^^

The first way is:

Using 星期 Xīngqí.

To say the days of the week, we start from Monday, and you just add 一二三... after 星期. 

So, 

Monday = 星期一
       Tuesday = 星期二
       Wednesday = 星期三
       Thursday =星期四
       Friday = 星期五
      Saturday = 星期六

Sunday = ? (Sunday is a bit special! we'll leave it to the end)

The second way is:

Using 礼拜 lǐbài.

And just like before, you just add the number after 礼拜.

So, Starting from Monday: 

Monday = 礼拜 一

       Tuesday = 礼拜二

       Wednesday = 礼拜三

       Thursday =礼拜四

       Friday = 礼拜五

      Saturday = 礼拜六

Sunday = ? (Sunday is special again! LOL)

The third way is:

Just use the word 週 zhōu instead of 礼拜 and 星期. 

So you get: 

Monday = 週 一

       Tuesday = 週 二

       Wednesday = 週 三

                                                                       Thursday =週 四

       Friday = 週 五

      Saturday = 週 六

Sunday = ? (again, this guy is special!)

What about Sunday? 

If you are following the first way, Sunday will become, 星期  + 日(rì). 日 means sun.

So you get, 星期日(xīngqírì).

If you are following the second way, Sunday will become, 礼拜 + 天 (tiān) = 礼拜 天 (lǐbài tiān).

天 means day. 

If you are following the third way, Sunday will become, 週日 (zhōu rì). 

When speaking, The first 2 ways are more common. 週 is rarely used in conversations. It is a bit formal.
